    Nope, you have to iretare thru them and find that index yourself.

    Like this:

    String text = "listBoxText";
    int indexToFind = -1;
    for (int i=0; i<listBox.getItemCount(); i++) {
        if (listBox.getItemText(i).equals(text)) {
            indexToFind = i;
            break;
        }
    }
