What you’re asking about is in reference to Top-Level Domain Names. You can find a selection of choices for Top-Level Domains by visiting 3rd party registrars like GoDaddy or NameCheap. However, if you’d like to purchase a more obscure domain name (like “.st”), the best thing to do is just run a search for it on Google with the words “domain purchase” appended. You’ll either be presented with the country’s personal TLD registration page, or you’ll find that you can’t actually buy it.
