    You forgot to fill data in your adapter, Your adapter is empty..

    adapter = new MyAdapter(this,R.layout.list_item);

    Fill with some data like String[] or ArrayList…

    UPDATE:

    @Override
    public void onItemClick(AdapterView<?> adaptr, View arg1, int position, long arg3) {

        Times times = MyXMLHandler.array.get(position);
        AlertDialog.Builder builder = new AlertDialog.Builder(this);
        builder.setMessage(times.getDescription());
        builder.setTitle("Description");
        builder.setPositiveButton("OK", new DialogInterface.OnClickListener() {

            @Override
            public void onClick(DialogInterface dialog, int which) {

                finish();
            }
        });
       builder.show();
    }
