Is is possible to tigger an anchor link being clicked when checking a checkbox?? Below is my html and jQuery

Html:

    <input type="checkbox">

  </li>

   <input type="checkbox">

jQuery:

 $("input[type='checkbox']").change(function(){
  var item=$(this);    
   if(item.is(":checked"))
    {
     item.siblings('a').trigger('click');
    }    
 });
