document.getElementById( 'page-result' ).innerHTML = xmlhttp.responseText;

any idea?!

    You need to use jquery?

    $('#page-result').html( xmlhttp.responseText);

    If you need to do in in another window just open it

    var newWindow = window.open( 'some params');
$(newWindow.document).find('#page-result')
