    Think of it like giving your dog 2 names:

    var spot = new Dog();
    var comeHereSpot = function ()  { return spot; }    
    var comeHereBoy = comeHereSpot;
    

    Whether you call comeHereSpot or comeHereBoy the same dog will come running.
