this is how i now receive the php response var txt = ajaxRequest.responseText; the

this is how i now receive the php response

var txt = ajaxRequest.responseText;

the php script echos the response.

how can i send a datastructure from php to javascript ? echoing the response it very difficult and not so powerfull.
