This syntax works in FF

<input data-bind="checked: isRequest, attr: { name: 'id_' + id }" type="checkbox" />

But in IE7 the name attribute isnt rendered?

edit:
Other attributes like title works, strange, but i need the name attribute so that i can post the data :/

    I ran into a similar problem with trying to be tricky with attr: { ‘class’: something, ‘style’: somethingElse} and gave up trying to get the attr binding to work in IE7.

    What did work was writing a custom binding to apply jquery manually:

    ko.bindingHandlers.customCss = {
        init: function (element, valueAccessor, allBindingsAccessor) {
            var css = ko.utils.unwrapObservable(valueAccessor());
            $(element).addClass(css);
        },
        update: function (element, valueAccessor, allBindingsAccessor) {
            var css = ko.utils.unwrapObservable(valueAccessor());
           $(element).addClass(css);
        }
    };

    So in your case I would try adding the following to your document.ready before ko.applyBindings():

    ko.bindingHandlers.customName= {
        init: function (element, valueAccessor, allBindingsAccessor) {
            var name= ko.utils.unwrapObservable(valueAccessor());
            $(element).attr('name', 'id_' + name);
        },
        update: function (element, valueAccessor, allBindingsAccessor) {
            var name= ko.utils.unwrapObservable(valueAccessor());
            $(element).attr('name', 'id_' + name);
        }
    };

    then bind your input as:

    <input data-bind="checked: isRequest, customName: id }" type="checkbox" />
