Using jQuery, is there a way to select all tag that reference a specific css class, and set the display to ‘inline’?

example:

<span class='theclass'>junk</span> <span class='theclass'>other junk</span> <span class='theclass'>more junk</span> 

in .css:

.theclass {     display: none; }

$('.theclass').css('display', 'inline'); 

or maybe

$('.theclass').show();
