    I do this to cancel postDelays, per the Android: removeCallbacks removes any pending posts of Runnable r that are in the message queue.

    handler.removeCallbacks(runnableRunner);
    

    or use to remove all messages and callbacks

    handler.removeCallbacksAndMessages(null);
