    The code runs before the DOM is ready. Put it inside a DOM ready event handler:

    $(document).ready(function() {
    //Code that interacts with the DOM (such as binding event listeners...)
    $("#Btn").click(function (event) {
        alert("Button Clicked");                             
    }); 
});
