select * from registered_members where username = '$username' AND LIKE '%LOL%'
What is wrong with this syntax? select * from registered_members where username = ‘$username’

What is wrong with this syntax?
select * from registered_members where username = '$username' AND LIKE '%LOL%'
you need a column name between “AND” & “LIKE”
ie
