    There is no such thing as </img>.

    Remove it and properly close the <img tag with a />, then your image appears:

    <img src='http://www.lantiis.com/images/top.png' />
    <img src='http://allbusters.in/wp-content/uploads/2011/07/facebook_32.png' />

    http://jsbin.com/otayuy/

    Why?

    Because non-compliant code is unpredictable.
