Why is the output of the above program:
Begin..
Cool, it’s running.
dostuff beginning 4
dostuff is done doing stuff
still running? why
How can dostuff correctly flag when it is done? I do not want to sit around waiting for it, I just want to be notified when it’s done.
The problem in this example is that there are two instances of
dostuff, so the version being set to false inoperator()is different then the one in main.From the thread management documentation:
